Hey capsuleer – wanna get spacerich?
YES! WHAT VALUE DO I HAVE READING YOUR WALLS OF TEXT?
Well… worst case, you get a deeper understanding in the more complex mechanics in EVE online. Best case, you start to like what I am doing – dwelling in tables, analyzing markets, optimizing every aspect and squeezing the optimal amount of ISK out of your activities. But behold: before you imagine myself sitting in belts, sucking ore from asteroids or optimizing the payout from missionrunning, let me tell you, that I mainly write about trading and producing goods.
I will go into details, which goods might be or not be profitable in the foreseeable future, how to trade, what to do and what not to do. I maybe drop in a report or two from a roam, personal stories and so on – the normal stuff you see in gaming-blogs nowadays. But I will mostly try to elaborate on how to make ISK in the most efficient and timesaving matter possible with your head, not with your hands.
WHO ARE YOU, ANYWAYS?
Me, I am Cthon Garuda, a simple german student and entrepreneur who took a liking in EVE around 2011. Like everyone, I started with mining and ratting in a Drake in random belts. After an ugly incident with my former corp during a public roam, my interest in EVE declined and I stopped playing it for around half a year. After this, I created a new character: “I am providence” which I then used to trade with in Amarr, after grasping the basics of station trading and a generous loan of about 100 million from a user from the german EVE-Forum EVEger. After this, I continued to trade in Jita, started to produce, joined a lowsec-corp, ganked some miners and were basically very bad at PvP in every way imaginable. After some private problems, I stopped playing for one and a half years. And right now… well, after all I’m back in business, I guess. Once the EVE-virus got you, it is like Kyonoke or heroine – you cannot get rid of the monkey on your shoulder. Except that Kyonoke is deadly and not pleasant at all.
WHAT ARE YOUR ACHIEVEMENTS IN EVE?
I only encouraged several new players to start trading, even though they thought this would be too complex or hard to learn. I made some billions here and there and were probably the first player to write a german blog with the main focus on trading in EVE.
Oh, from time to time I provoked some bittervets on the forums to rage like a newbie over nothing… well, not many achievements to be honest. I just enjoy the game.
WHAT DIFFERNTIATES YOU FROM A CERTAIN GOBLIN?
Well, I guess I am not as rich as he is and probably never will, as I dont delve so much into socialisation when it comes to making ISK and tend to stay away from repetitive actions. And to be honest: after beeing a big fan of him during my time in WoW (where I also traded quite heavily), I honestly question his sanity today.
So… not as much tinfoil-hattery from my side, I guess? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
YOU ARE ALL TALK – WHY AM I JUST FILTHY AND NOT RICH ALREADY?
Read the articles, be as paranoid as possible, use your head and be patient. If there is one thing which will get you spacerich, then it is patience, patience and more patience. Patience equals consistency, consistency equals success and with success comes everything else you seek within this game, be it power or money.
WHAT LANGUAGE IS ALL THIS OLD STUFF?
German. These are either outdated stories, guides or simple thoughts about topics I wanted to write about. Some I will translate and update, some not.
